Community Good Funds, also called Unrestricted Funds, provide the greatest flexibility to the Community Foundation in its goal of responding to changing needs and emerging opportunities.
How It Works:
Grants are awarded through our annual Community Good competitive grant cycle. A committee of local volunteers reviews applications and recommends grant awards to local nonprofit organizations responding to the community’s greatest needs.
Minimum:

Field of Interest Funds support areas of concern to the donors. Donors can request the Community Foundation to award grants within a specific area of interest such as arts, education, environment, youth, or health.
How It Works:
Grants are awarded through our annual Community Good competitive grant cycle. A committee of local volunteers reviews applications and recommends grant awards to local nonprofit organizations that meet the area of interest criteria.

Donor-Advised Funds are convenient, flexible tools for individuals, families, businesses and others who want to actively participate in the grantmaking process.
How It Works:
Fund Advisors recommend grant(s) for nonprofit general support or specific project/program. Grants can be made at any time throughout the year.

Designated Funds allow donors to support a specific organization or organizations in perpetuity.
How It Works:
Annual grants are sent directly to the designated nonprofit(s) which does not require applications or grant reporting.

Agency Funds are established by a nonprofit organization to provide perpetual income to themselves. The Community Foundation handles all administrative and investment responsibilities, freeing the organization to pursue its charitable mission.
How It Works:
Annual grants are sent directly to the nonprofit agency which does not require applications or grant reporting.
Fund Minimum:

Scholarship Funds help students pursue their higher education goals. Donors can establish scholarship criteria or leave it to the discretion of the Community Foundation.
How It Works:
Scholarships are awarded through our annual Community Scholarship Program. A committee of local volunteers (with optional fund representative input) reviews applications and recommends scholarship awards to local students.
