Posey County, Indiana – The Women’s Fund of Posey County, a fund of the Community Foundation Alliance, is now seeking applicants for funding to support a variety of projects or programs that are important to Posey County women.
Applications for the current year’s cycle will only be accepted through the February 20, 2018 deadline date. Applications submitted after the February deadline will not be considered. The Women’s Fund Steering Committee will review funding requests and will contact grant applicants for an interview.
Charitable activities that will be considered through this grant program are those that support local programs that give opportunities, encouragement, knowledge and hope to the Posey County community. Previous grants were awarded to organizations working to prevent domestic violence, to promote health and education, and to help develop life skills in children.
The Women’s Fund of Posey County welcomes funding requests from non-profit organizations that are tax-exempt under sections 501(c)(3) and 509(a) of the Internal Revenue Code and from governmental agencies serving Posey County. Funding requests from other non-profit organizations to carry out charitable projects or activities in Posey County may be accepted; however, the non-profit may be required to obtain a fiscal sponsor.
