Posey County, Indiana – The Posey County Community Foundation (PCCF), a partner of the Community Foundation Alliance in Evansville, Indiana, announce that applications for the 2017 Posey County Community Good Grants program are now being accepted.
Funding requests are welcomed for charitable projects and activities that address needs and opportunities in the community, in the areas of health, human services, arts and culture, education, community development, and others that would improve quality of life in Posey County.
“We’re proud the Posey County Community Foundation could award more than $71,000 in grant funding to 15 charitable community organizations during our Community Good Grants program in 2016.” said Patrick Seibert, President of the PCCF Advisory Board. “Again this year, we’re looking forward to supporting more community good for all of Posey County through the organizations that will receive these grants.”
Applications will be accepted from nonprofit organizations that are deemed tax-exempt under sections 501(c)(3) and 509(a) of the Internal Revenue Code and from governmental agencies serving the county. Requests from nonprofit organizations not classified as a 501(c)(3) public charity may be considered provided the project is charitable and supports a community need.
