pike Community Scholarships

  • Claud W. and Lois Kemp Family Scholarship ($1,000)

    Graduating seniors of Pike Central High School with a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average (4.0 scale). Applicants must be involved in school and community activities and be planning to attend an accredited 4-year college or university in Indiana.

  • Darwin and Grace Youngs Scholarship ($350)

    Graduating seniors of Pike Central High School with a cumulative grade point average (4.0 scale) ranging from 2.5 to 3.5.  Applicants must be planning to pursue post-secondary education at an accredited college or university and demonstrate financial need.

  • Dessie Mae (Bruce) Griffith Scholarship ($250)

    Graduating seniors of Pike Central High School with a minimum 2.0 cumulative grade point average (4.0 scale) planning to pursue post-secondary education at any accredited college or university.

  • Dr. and Mrs. William A. Weathers and Betty B. Wyatt Memorial Scholarship ($800)

    Graduating seniors of Pike Central High School who have earned a varsity letter in any sport and are planning full-time enrollment in a post-secondary school program (four-year college, two-year college, technical or career college) in the fall immediately following graduation.

  • Harrell and LaVern Shoultz Scholarship ($750)

    Graduating seniors of Pike Central High School who are planning to pursue a degree in agriculture at any accredited college or university.

  • Jay Lampton Memorial Scholarship ($400)

    Graduating seniors of any high school served by the Community Foundation Alliance (which includes high schools located in the Indiana counties of Daviess, Gibson, Knox, Perry, Pike, Posey, Spencer, Vanderburgh, and Warrick) with a 2.0 cumulative grade point average (4.0 scale) and who have been enrolled in technology courses during his or her high school education. Applicants must demonstrate financial need and be planning to pursue post-secondary education at the Lincoln College of Technology (formerly Nashville Auto Diesel College) or another institution of higher education seeking a degree in auto mechanics.

  • Kenny Veale Memorial Scholarship ($650)

    Pike County residents who are graduating seniors of Pike Central High School pursuing post-secondary education in engineering.  Preference will be given to students studying automotive engineering or design.  Applicants must demonstrate financial need, have a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average (4.0 scale), and be enrolled at an accredited institution of higher education the fall after high school graduation.

  • Lawrell Hilgeman Memorial Scholarship/Pike Optimists of Petersburg, Indiana ($300)

    Graduates of Pike Central High School pursuing a degree at any accredited two- or four-year college or university.

  • Martha and Marion Klipsch Scholarship ($150)

    Graduating seniors of Pike Central High School planning full-time enrollment at an Indiana college or uni­versity.

  • Mary F. Curtis Scholarship ($1,500)

    Graduating seniors of Pike Central High School pursuing post-secondary education at any accredited college or university.

  • Montes/Fenol Scholarship ($1,100)

    Graduating seniors of Pike Central High School with a MAXIMUM 3.0 cumulative grade point average (4.0 scale) who have financial need and are planning to pursue post-secondary education at any accredited institution of higher learning. Pike County residents who are considered non-traditional students may also apply. A non-traditional student is defined as an individual who delayed his or her enrollment in post-secondary education for at least one year after graduating or withdrawing from high school.

  • Otwell School Alumni Association Scholarship ($1,500)

    Graduating seniors of Pike Central High School pursuing a two-year or four-year degree at any accredited college, university, junior college or vocational school.

  • Petersburg First United Methodist Church Memorial Scholarship ($1,500)

    Graduating seniors who attend Pike Central High School or graduating seniors who are members of Petersburg First United Methodist Church.  Applicants must have a minimum 2.5 cumulative grade point average (4.0 scale) and plan to pursue a two- or four-year degree at any accredited college, university, junior college or vocational school.

  • Petersburg High School Alumni Association Scholarship ($500)

    Graduating seniors of Pike Central High School with a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average (4.0 scale) who are descendants of a Petersburg High School graduate.  Applicants must be planning to pursue post-secondary education at any accredited institution and demonstrate financial need.

  • Petersburg High School Class of 1959 Scholarship ($500)

    Graduating seniors of Pike Central High School who rank in the top third of their graduating class and are pursuing post-secondary education.  Applicants must be planning to attend a two- or four-year college or university in Indiana.

  • Pike Central High School Alumni Association Scholarship ($750)

    Graduating seniors of Pike Central High School with a minimum 2.0 cumulative grade point average (4.0 scale) pursuing full-time post-secondary education at any accredited college, university, junior college, or vocational school.

  • Pike Central High School Scholarship ($1,000)

    Graduating seniors of Pike Central High School who have a minimum 2.0 cumulative grade point average (4.0 scale) planning to pursue post-secondary education.

  • Pike County Chamber of Commerce Scholarship ($200)

    Graduating seniors of Pike Central High School planning full-time enrollment at an Indiana college or uni­versity.

  • Project Associates Engineering Scholarship ($1,000)

    Qualified applicants must be a graduating senior of a high school located in Gibson, Henderson, Pike, Posey, Vanderburgh, or Warrick County who has been accepted at the University of Evansville or the University of Southern Indiana and has enrolled in a course of study leading to a four-year engineering degree; or a graduate from a high school located in Gibson, Henderson, Pike, Posey, Vanderburgh, or Warrick County currently enrolled and in good standing at the University of Evansville or the University of Southern Indiana and in the process of obtaining a four-year engineering degree. Previous recipients of the scholarship may re-apply for consideration and evaluation.

  • Schafer Pike County Community Foundation Scholarship ($750)

    Graduating seniors of Pike Central High School who are residents of Pike County.  May be used for a two- or four-year program.

  • Vinson Family Scholarship ($1,500)

    Graduating seniors of Pike Central High School with a minimum 2.3 and maximum 3.3 cumulative grade point average (4.0 scale) pursuing post-secondary education at any accredited educational institution.

  • Winslow Eagles Scholarship ($1,000)

    Graduating seniors of Pike Central High School planning to attend any accredited college, university, or vocational-technical school.

  • Winslow High School Alumni Association Scholarship ($850)

    Graduating seniors of Pike Central High School pursuing a two-year or four-year degree at any accredited college, university, junior college or vocational school.

Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship for pike County

Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship (full tuition and required fees)

Be a resident of Indiana; be a graduate of Pike Central High School by June 2019. (Exception: Students planning to graduate from the Indiana Academy are eligible to apply provided they attended Pike Central High School before transferring to the Academy.); be in the top 10% of class as of the end of junior year; demonstrate a commitment to community activities outside of school; be available for an interview on September 23, 2018 if selected as a finalist; apply for the scholarship in only one county.
