Family of Funds

We work with donors to fulfill their charitable goals by structuring charitable funds that are customized to fit their unique goals, easy to implement, and supported by our broad community knowledge and expertise. Following is a list of funds individuals, families, business, civic groups, and agencies have established to benefit Pike County, now and forever into the future. First United Methodist Church of Petersburg Fund

A designated fund created by an anonymous donor to benefit the First United Meth­odist Church of Petersburg.

Friends of Pike County Fund

An unrestricted fund created by the Pike County Commu­nity Foundation.

Gaskins Family Fund for Pike County, Indiana

A donor-advised fund established by Jim and Cindy Gaskins.

Dessie Mae (Bruce) Griffith Scholarship Fund

A scholarship fund established by Allison Bell, Jodie Dawn Huntsman, Christina Scales in memory of their mother to benefit graduating seniors of Pike Central High School.

Lawrell Hilgeman Memorial Scholarship/Pike Optimists of Petersburg, Indiana, Fund

A scholarship fund created by the Pike Optimists in memory of their esteemed member.

Martha and Marion Klipsch Fund for Petersburg Little League

A designated fund created by Marion R. and Martha A. Klipsch to benefit Petersburg Little League Baseball Inc.

Martha and Marion Klipsch Scholarship Fund

A scholarship fund created by Marion R. and Martha A. Klipsch.

Wayne and Charlotte Malotte Fund

An unrestricted fund created by H. Wayne and Charlotte Malotte to support the Foun­dation’s unrestricted grantmaking.

Otwell School Alumni Association Fund

A scholarship fund established by the Otwell School Alumni Association to help graduating seniors of Pike Central High School pursue advanced education.

Petersburg High School Class of 1959 Scholarship Fund

A scholarship established by the PHS Class of 1959 to help Pike Central High School seniors pursue advanced education.

Pike Central Vocational Scholarship Fund

A scholarship fund created by James S. and Cindy Gaskins.

Pike County Area Rehabilitation Center Fund

An agency fund established by the Pike County Area Rehabilitation Center in Petersburg, Indiana.

Pike County Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Fund

A scholarship fund created by the Pike County Chamber of Commerce.

Pike County Community Foundation Administrative Fund

A designated fund created by the Pike County Community Foundation to support admini­stration of the Foundation.

Pike County Grassroots Unrestricted Fund

An unrestricted fund established by supporters of the Pike County Community Foundation to address community needs and opportunities as they change over time.

Schafer Pike County Community Foundation Scholarship Committee Fund

A scholarship fund created by Karl O. and Elizabeth D. Schafer.

Harrell and LaVern Shoultz Scholarship Fund

A scholarship fund created by Harrell and LaVern Shoultz.

Marvin Snyder Town of Winslow Fund

A designated fund established by Marvin Snyder in memory of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Snyder and Mr. and Mrs. Irving Eskind to benefit the Town of Winslow for the general health and welfare of its residents.

Vinson Family Scholarship Fund

A scholarship established by John and Mary Ellen Vinson to help graduating seniors at Pike Central High School pursue advanced education.

Darwin and Grace Youngs Nonpermanent Fund

A non-endowed fund established by Darwin Youngs to supplement award of the Darwin and Grace Youngs Scholarship.

Darwin and Grace Youngs Scholarship Fund

A scholarship fund established by Darwin C. Youngs to help graduating seniors of Pike Central High School pursue advanced education.

Dr. and Mrs. William A. Weathers and Betty B. Wyatt Memorial Scholarship Fund

A scholarship fund created by Pike Central High School in memory of its former teacher, counselor and principal, Dr. William A. Weathers, his wife, and their friend Mrs. Betty B. Wyatt. Dr. William A. Weathers was born in Petersburg on October 14, 1912, and was a 1930 graduate of Petersburg High School and a 1934 graduate of Oakland City College. He spent his entire 42-year career in education at Petersburg High School and Pike Central High School and was active in civic and community affairs. Dr. Weathers retired from education in 1977 but remained involved with Pike County youth until his death in December 1998. Betty B. Wyatt was a teacher for more than 40 years. She and Dr. Weathers worked together as educators for many years. They were both members of the Petersburg Main Street Presbyterian Church, and they were friends.

Winslow Community Center Fund

An agency fund created by the Town of Winslow (Ind.) and advocates and supporters of Winslow Community Center.

Winslow High School Alumni Association Scholarship Fund

A scholarship fund created by the Winslow High School Alumni Association.
