Knox Community Foundation Awards Grants To Local Food Pantries

(Vincennes, Indiana)  The Knox County Community Foundation is distributing $3,500 in grants to seven local organizations through their 2020 Holiday Food Pantry grants program. Grants were offered to 501(c)3 organizations located in Knox County, offering a food pantry program to Knox County residents. All eligible organizations that applied were awarded a grant.

“This was a special grant program offered this year in addition to our annual Community Good grants,” said Lauren Osmon, Regional Director of Community Engagement and Impact. “Based on a review of funding requests received, we determined that food pantries were facing challenges brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. We are incredibly grateful for our generous donors. It is through their support that we are able to support the current needs of Knox County.”

The grant recipients are:

  • $500 to St. Vincent de Paul Society for the SVdP Food Pantry
  • $500 to The Lord’s Warehouse for food pantry support
